Renewable scholarships valued at up to $10,000 for Chicago Public Schools students to attend four-year
universities

Description:

The CPS Wentcher Scholars Program awards 70+ scholarships valued up to $10,000 to Chicago Public Schools seniors each year. These scholarships are intended to help high-performing CPS students with financial need pursue higher education at an accredited not-for-profit Title IV eligible U.S. college or university of their choice. Wentcher scholars who continue to meet the Foundation's guidelines may renew their scholarships for up to four years of undergraduate support, totaling up to $40,000.

Eligibility:

  • Open to seniors attending all types of Chicago Public Schools
  • Open to U.S. citizens or FAFSA-eligible non-citizens who are allowed to apply for and receive federal financial aid (e.g. legal permanent residents)
  • Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
  • Minimum 1030 SAT, 20 ACT (optional)

    (Due to high application volume these requirements are firm)
